Nutritional Therapy and Food and Environmental Sensitivity/Allergy Testing

Food and Environmental Sensitivity Testing

Food sensitivity can affect us at any age of our life and be the cause of a number of symptoms both physically and emotionally.

The diagnostic method is simple and without discomfort, it is a non-invasive testing technique called applied kinesiology (muscle testing) Muscle testing is a safe and non-invasive method for evaluating food and environmental sensitivities. With the patient lying down and being fully clothed, small samples are placed over the patient’s navel. If the patient is sensitive (i.e. allergic or sensitive) to the sample then their test muscle will go weak. The treatment method is by way of desensitisation.

Diagnosis and treatment are painless and are suitable for infants and children as well as adults.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutritional science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Nutritional therapy practitioners use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns or feeling just tired and low on energy.

How can Nutritional Therapy Help Me?

As a nutritional therapist I can help you improve and maintain your health and sense of wellbeing through diet and nutrition…… help you make positive changes in your diet and lifestyle, through nutritional assessments.   The good use of food and nutrition may encourage the body’s natural healing process, may also help you to increase your vitality and help you reduce stress.

Detoxification just means having less toxins going in than coming out

Why should I detox?

Scientists continue investigating and are discovering new epigenetic modifications resulting from foods we eat and the truth is that we are all at the very early stages of knowing exactly how food changes the expression of our genes. What we do know is that eating a lot of processed food has a detrimental effect on our health and wellbeing.

When you are sick of sickness, you are no longer sick.

Nature itself is the best physician.
— Hippocrates

How it can help me?

Detoxing under the right circumstances can help with:

Enhancing the immune system function

A compromised immune system makes us vulnerable to colds and flus, affecting our quality of life and productivity.  Detoxing helps strengthen immune system functioning and fights off infection.

Losing weight

Toxins affect the body's natural ability to burn fat, leading to weight gain. Detoxing rids the body of toxins stored in fat cells and increases metabolism.

Slowing premature ageing

Detoxing rids the body of free radicals and heavy metals partially responsible for ageing. Detoxing helps to increase nutrient absorption, including antioxidants and vitamins that help fight oxidative stress.

Increase energy

You may have more mental, physical, and emotional energy after detoxing. People tend to sleep better and need less of it.

Restore balance to our body's systems

Our digestive, nervous, and hormonal systems were designed to work together to achieve optimum health. When we overload them with toxins and unhealthy foods, these systems don't work as well as they should.

Improving skin

Diet and environmental toxins undeniably affect skin. Detoxing improves acne, and strengthens hair and nails, and gives us a natural, healthy glow.

Nourish yourself beautiful from the inside out, help yourself feel the glow of health and vitality… feel that bounce in your step… a true way to joyous living!

Evan a small change in your diet can make a big difference in your health
